Home Page: My Collection
It started seven years ago. I inherited a small Hungarian stamp collection by my paternal grandfather. It was comprised of stamps from a time period starting in 1930's until late 1980's, but it was quite defective and unsorted. Also, it included mint never hinged stamps as well as canceled ones.
I started to order and complete the collection. First I grouped the collection into two groups, used and unused. I wanted to keep only the unused ones. Then I bought a Hungarian stamp catalogue and ranged the stamps and souvenir sheets I had. These methods took a very long time to finish, even years, as I couldn't devote more time each day than a half hour to them. After this, I started to sell the used and the multiple stamps and sheets. I used the money I received to buy the missing pieces. At the summer of 1996 I got Internet access which speeded up this process considerably.
Presently I have a complete collection of all the Hungarian stamps and souvenir sheets which were issued between 1960 and 1991. I am proud of my mint collection which is never hinged and is in an excellent condition.
However, this operation is still ongoing. I still have multiple Hungarian stamps and complete sets for sale and I am still looking for stamps which I haven't got because I would like to complete my collection to include stamps issued after the Second World War up to present day. So please let me know if you would like to swap, buy or sell mint never hinged Hungarian stamps. E-mail: ambro@ambro.hu (Check out my 'Contact me' page under 'Home' also.)
The Hungarian stamps are considered some of the most beautiful stamps of the world. I have selected these onto the pages under 'Stamp'. I invite you to look through them and get acquainted with the art of Hungarian stamps.
